Pets are important to people, especially the homebound. They foster a sense of security, help combat loneliness and depression, and increase a person’s wellness.  Just as adults protect young ones from food insecurity, seniors tend to protect their pets from food insecurity.  PawStarz is a supplemental pet food program which ensures our recipients maintain healthy diets without sacrificing their meal to protect a pet from hunger. Our program partners include The Banfield Charitable Trust and Community Care College Veterinary Assisting Program which helps us to purchase and distribute the pet food.
